Thank you for all your support: Nakajima

I want to express my sincere gratitude for the overwhelming support I received from all of you last year. Your encouragement was the driving force that spurred me on to achieve my dream of becoming the Prize Money King. Thank you very much.

Towards the end of last year, I sought to secure my place on the PGA Tour by participating in the Q-School. Given the privilege of direct exemption to the final stage as the JGTO money list winner, my goal was to meet the top-five cut requirement for obtaining a tour card in the upcoming PGA Tour season.

Unfortunately, I fell short of making the cut, a requirement for earning a spot in the next season's PGA Tour. Despite a strong start in the first two rounds, I couldn't maintain the performance, leading to a slip down the leaderboard. It was indeed a significant disappointment.

Nevertheless, I see this setback as a valuable lesson and plan to use it as a source of strength. I've already shifted my focus to the future, setting my sights on new opportunities and challenges ahead.

Thanks to being the JGTO Prize Money King, this year offers an exciting opportunity to compete on the DP World Tour. I am brimming with determination to consistently contend, never give up, and relentlessly pursue my dreams.

The year 2024 is also filled with anticipation as the Paris Olympics draws near. With eight years of proudly wearing the national team uniform during my amateur career, the opportunity to represent Japan in the Olympics holds special significance and immense pride for me.

I look forward to delivering strong performances on the international stage throughout the year, aiming to once again proudly sport the national flag at the Olympics.

Although I may have fewer opportunities to play in Japan this year, I will do my best to bring you good news from abroad.

I sincerely appreciate your warm support and kindly ask for your continued encouragement throughout this year.

May 2024 be a year filled with happiness for every one of you.

I would also like to take this moment to extend my heartfelt sympathies to those affected by the Noto Peninsula earthquake on New Year’s Day.

To everyone experiencing inconvenience in their lives, forced evacuations, and still grappling with fearful and anxious thoughts, I sincerely pray for the swift return of peaceful days. My thoughts are with you.
